About Us The Hopkins County Regional Civic Center is a multi-purpose facility that can accommodate almost any event no matter how small or how large. Built in 1979 and expanded in 1993 and 2007, this facility continues to grow in importance to the citizens of Hopkins County and to the impact on the city and the county economy. History Since its inception, the center has booked a heavy schedule of events that attract out-of-town users. Local businesses and industries have found this facility can compete with with larger metropolitan facilities in hosting meetings, conferences and sometimes smaller conventions, especially considering the beautiful shaded grounds, adequate parking lots, lack of traffic snarls, lots of nearby motels and shopping, and close proximity to the airport. Recent Additions The new Equine Pavilion has been erected to accommodate much larger horse and livestock shows, roping competitions and auctions.
